SA National Science Week Grants 

Grants are now open for National Science Week grants for projects and activities delivered in South Australia.

  • up to $2500 for events and activities in metropolitan Adelaide
  • up to $3000 for events and activities in regional and remote areas

National Science Week, 10-18 August, is Australia’s annual celebration of science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine.

Key Dates: 

  • Applications close: 5pm 15 May.
  • Grants recipients announced: early June.
  • Grant events live on National Science Week website: 30 June.
  • National Science Week: 10-18 August.

Inspiring SA Grants

The projects will provide opportunities to learn about, connect with and get excited about science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine. You are welcome to apply for more than one grant but for different projects.

There are three grants available:

Community Science Engagement

Grants for projects delivering community science engagement and science communication projects in South Australia

    • up to $3500 for delivery in metropolitan Adelaide
    • up to $4500 for delivery in regional and remote South Australia

Reconciliation Science Engagement

Grant for projects which share Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine knowledge and culture)

    • up to $4000 for delivery in metropolitan Adelaide
    • up to $5000 for delivery in regional and remote South Australia

Arts and Science

Grant to develop and produce collaborative arts and science projects for delivery in South Australia

    • up to $5,000

Key Dates for all grants:

  • Applications close: 10am Monday 3 June 2024
  • Grant recipients announced: 1 July 2024
  • Successful applicants submit valid tax invoice: Thursday 25 July 2024
  • Project delivered by: Friday 31 January 2025
  • Post project report and evaluation submitted: Friday 28 February 2025
