The 2024 Oliphant Science Awards is (almost) complete!

Thank you to each and every one of you for your hard work, your diligence and your commitment to making the Oliphant Science Awards what it is!

What's next?

Participation Certificates are currently being packaged and will be shipped to schools in weeks 1 and 2 of Term 4; all students who submitted a project for judging will receive a participation certificate.

The Coordinators' Celebration Function will be held at the Brickmakers' Arms at Brompton (same venue as last year, for those who attended in 2023), and we'd love to see you all there! An official invitation will be sent closer to the date, but please save the date - it will be held on Friday 25th October from 4.30pm. Click here to RSVP!

In other news, the topics for 2025 Posters, Photography and Science Writing are now available to view on the 2025 Project Category pages. Now is a great time to see how you can fit the Oliphant Science Awards into your planner for 2025. 

Now is a good time to start planning your Citizen Science entries for 2025! Citizen Science projects take a fair bit of time to research, plan and action! Here are some websites with ideas for current Citizen Science projects:

Upcoming dates for your diary:

• Presentation Ceremony will be held on Friday 18th October - this is for prize-winning students only.
• Coordinator Celebration Function will be held on Friday 25th October from 4.30pm - we want to see as many of you there as possible!
• November 2024 - grant applications open for 2025 (New School Incentive, Country School Bursary and Regional Student Travel Funds).
