Welcome to the Oliphant Coordinator Login Area.

And... the competition is over for another year!

Our heartfelt thanks to you for all your hard work that has meant delivering, collecting and possibly judging for the 2025 Oliphant Science Awards this year!

It has been a mammoth year for us all, culminating in over 3,100 projects registered across 145 schools - OSA records have indeed been broken in 2025!

What comes next?

Competition Results

You can login to see whether your students have been successful or not; all you need to do is login (if you're reading this, that step has already been taken care of! ;-) ), then head to Oliphant Project Management, then Manage Projects for 2025 and scroll to the bottom of the next page.

Click on View all in the awards column to make a pop-up appear where you’ll see Yes, HC or nothing listed. Yes means they’re a prize winner, HC means they’ve been awarded a Highly Commended and nothing showing means that project was not a winner this year. If you have many projects, this will be arduous, and we sincerely apologise for this! I have already put this on the list to make this change for next year...!

NB: We cannot tell you what prize each student has won; we like to keep a little bit of mystery surrounding this! They will only find out by attending the Presentation Ceremony in October!

Presentation Ceremony (invitation only)

Invitations for winning students and their parents will be emailed to you, the coordinator, in early September; please pass them onto the students in question as soon as you can.

Coordinators of winning students, along with another school representative will also be invited to attend the relevant Presentation Ceremony (we hold three consecutive Presentation Ceremonies (R to Year 4, Years 5-8 and Years 9-12) at the same venue on the same night, back to back); if you have winners across two or more ceremonies, you will be invited to attend (and will need to book tickets for) all relevant ceremonies.

NB: Students who have been awarded a Highly Commended are unfortunately not invited to the Presentation Ceremony.

Certificates

All students who submitted a project for judging will receive a participation certificate; these will be sent to schools in mid-October.

Virtual Open Day

For anyone who was not able to make it to Science Alive!, Virtual Open Day will go live from late September; you'll be able to see all of the winning projects (Highly Commended included). This is great for interstate and international families of winning students!

Coordinator Celebration Function

Please mark Friday 24th October in your diary - this is our (now!) annual function where we invite you to come and celebrate with us!

As you know, on delivery and collection days, our staff are not necessarily able to stop and chat with you as much as we would like, so this is the perfect opportunity for us to do that with you!

We'll be at the Brickmakers' Arms in Brompton again from 4.30pm, so please join us - an official invitation with ability to RSVP will be emailed to you shortly!

Feedback and 2026 Topic Suggestions

A coordinator survey will be sent out in the next week or so, and we would love your feedback along with some suggestions for topics for Posters, Photography and Science Writing for the 2026 competition.

Want to do the survey now? Click here.

If you have any other feedback, please email Rebecca to office@sasta.asn.au.
